Cracking Art

Cracking Art

Cracking Art is born in 1993, its intention is to change radically the history of art by a strong social and environmental commitment that with a revolutionary use of plastic materials puts in evidence the relationship between the natural life and the artificial reality. The choral dimension of the group does not limit the individual expression: they work independently interpreting the problems and tensions of their period.

The word Cracking comes from English word to crack that means cracking, splitting, give in to.
The choice of this word indicates the intention to propose as innovation of historical art and the difference between natural and artificial material.
This contraposition reflects in particular the choice of materials (recycled plastic) and social and environmental commitment.

The Cracking Art is founded by da Omar Ronda, Alex Angi, Renzo Nucara, Carlo Rizzetti, Marco Veronese, Vittorio Valente who is replaced by Kikko. In 2008 Omar Ronda leaves the group to undertake an individual career.
Actually, the Cracking Art is composed by Angi, Kicco, Nucara, Rizzetti, Sweetlove, Veronese. It is famous in Italy and abroad by some installations, in particular reproductions of animals in recyclable plastic put in the streets, squares or shopping centres. Besides, they organize also expositions in museums and contemporary exhibitions.
